This is a very interesting course. What course in the game is closest to where you live? Also are the any notable courses not in the game that you live closer to. To start off the closest course to me would be Wentworth. If you only count courses in this year's game it would be either St Andrews or Turnberry or maybe even Celtic Manor

After some research I found that Greenbrier is the closest course to where I live. Although it's not close at all, I put it on google maps and saw it would take 5 1/2 hours to drive there I'd say that the Predator is probably closer than that! ;D

Seve if Firestone is your closest course then you must live right in the West of the New York State on the boarder of PA near Jamestown. All from my brain jks I used google maps ;D

BWP man 5 hours you would think you live in the middle of nowhere ;D Dayton Ohio has some nice golf courses though (that's where I live). Weatherwax for example, I just played the other day for an SOPGA Jr. tour round. It's supposedly the nicest course in the state. I also think that there's a couple PGA courses in Columbus which is like an hour and a half away

5 hours? That's nothing. I can double that. For the courses on TW12, Whistling Straits is the closest to me and it's 640 miles away or roughly a 10 hour drive If I leave early enough in the morning I can arrive in time to play a Holy-special 20 minute round before heading to the hotel ;D If I use the TW11 courses my journey is shortened to 7 and a half hours to Hazeltine. Prairie Dunes in Hutchinson KS has hosted some USGA events in the past and I think is well respected in golf course rankings. Even though it is still in the same state, I'd still be looking at over a 3 hour drive. TMan

TMan I'm looking at the map and Whistling Straits is actually further south than Hazeltine. Can the fact it's further east really account for 3 hours extra. Maybe it's the roads. I wouldn't know that though. Holy p.s. I get very interested in all this stuff. Geography is one of my best subjects. Got an A star in the recent exams

Got an A star in the recent exams You're right that driving distance is part of the larger difference. If I ignore driving time and compute the "how the crow files" distance, that difference does shrink from 160 miles to 100 miles. My crow is in for repairs, though, so I'd be driving ;D
