I had to have a good think about this one but came to the conclusion it was the 8th at Sheshan. It's very long and what makes this one really hard is how the tee shot is also difficult. Most holes (par 4's and par 5's) have relatively easy tee shots but this on is very difficult with trees and water in play. Then when you get to the second shot you have a creek running just before the green. Playing off the black tees it would normally be 3 wood. Most of the time I would lay up and even on that 3rd shot that pitch can be scary especially in TPX with not much green at all to work with.

I'd have to say you're right if it's real courses only. I think the hardest par 5's (fantasy coruses) are: -both front 9 par 5's at predator -both back 9 par 5's at Highlands -The par 5 that leaps over water on the last shot and the uphill approach one that is almost impossible to get on in regulation at the Dragon (so obviously the fantasy courses are made to have hard par 5's) Hardest par 5's (non-fantasy) are: -First par 5 (I think hole 4) at Bethpage, although it's an almost guarenteed birdie, I've only eagled it once (yes in AM) -Obviously 8 at Sheshan which I've never eagled ;D -I think this last spot goes to 18 at Sheshan, I think this is a hard hole too because of the over the water approach. It's not as hard as hole 8 at Sheshan but it's still a pretty hard hole to stick the green in tournament conditions. I probably left out a couple of the hardest, these were just off the top of my head. I also have my lists for par 3's and 4's if we want to add a thread for that

The 8th at Sheshan is certainly a good choice. It's given me plenty of grief. The tee shot isn't too bad for me, though. I know I'm not getting there in 2 so I tee off with a 1 iron to take the trees and hazard out of play (this usually leads to an insulting remark from the announcer about not hitting it as far as I would have liked. I hit a 1 iron so it actually is how far I wanted to hit it). The 18th is tough, too, without the club tuner. If I go for it in 2 I just aim for the bunkers on the left. I came up with some additional ones as well. Some are easy enough to birdie but really difficult when trying to reach in 2 for eagle. These are based on the way I play and tournament conditions since that's mostly what we play these days. Some of you that bend shots around trees and shape shots into greens may have less trouble. I'm just trying to hit it straight Augusta: 13 (birdie can usually be achieved without too much trouble, I can't hold this green in 2, though) and 15 (going for this green in 2 will test your nerves, I usually do but almost never keep it on the surface, when I do it's not near the hole) Harbour Town: 15 (with no club tuner and the trees on the left I can't get there in 2, when laying up near the green you are left with a pitch shot over a bunker) Pebble: 14 (dogleg right, back up a steep hill and a deep bunker in front, usually pitching or putting downhill to the hole) Celtic: 18 (another 2nd shot to test the nerves, I usually just aim for the rough behind the green to avoid the risk in going for the pin) Liberty: all three are difficult in there own way, (the 6th has water up the entire right side with a small entrance to the green), (the 8th has a really slender green with the pin often tucked back right behind several bunkers and you're hitting a 3W approach), (the 13th has a huge lake that makes any approach in 2 a real test) Torrey: 18 (another hole with a water hazard in front, even playing safe up the right can be tricky with the overhanging trees) Bethpage: 4 (absolutely no way to hold this green in 2 unless I get lucky so I've stopped trying, this can still leave a somewhat long pitch shot to execute, also the pressure to birdie this hole is at max because you know it's Bethpage and birdie opportunities are limited.) The first par 5 at Liberty is eagable but the other 2 are just impossible especially with expert pins (on 8 it is tucked back right).

I've eagled the first par 5 at Liberty couple of times as well when I've managed to run it up through the small entrance. I usually end up in the bunker, though. I did make eagle at 13 (expert pin) in the TWP Season 2 round. I was just trying to hit it long and safe and somehow it stopped 8 feet from the hole. Being a head to head match I couldn't check the replay to see what actually happened. TMan

the hardest??? to get Eagle...
or the most dangerous???
the hardest may be the first P5 at Beth Page, in TW12 tune. there is a slim bit of rough between the bunkers that might catch and release the ball onto the green
dangerous?? either of the 5's at Sheshan with the over water approaches. ( i did manage to punch a 5Wood that actually skipped on water and rolled onto the 18th green...wish i had vid)

Quite frankly I don't see all the fuss over the 18th at Sheshan. If your really that scared you can play left and it is not to difficult to hold the green. A hole I find much worse would be the 13th hole at Liberty where there is much more water in play. With Expert Pins the first par 5 at the Greenbrier (12th) can also be difficult with a horrible green. The 2nd at Harbour with expert pin is uneagable IMO as well. These are just off the top of my head I am sure I can think of more ;D

Going back to TW11 all 4 of the Par 5's at Gary Player were really tough. Wish they still had that course instead of a bland course such as Turnberry.

17th at Wolf Creek can be a tough one with the pin right at the front - water is definitely in play.

Of course, all par 5's are layupable (to pitch range) for easy birdies except for some fantasy course ones IMO
