Due to the fact that TW12 is does not have Match Play incorporated - the playoffs will be based on who can get the most points in 1 round. If you have forgotten here is the points system: Double Eagle - 8 points Eagle - 5 points Birdie - 2 points Par - 0 points Bogey - -1 points Double Bogey or worse - -3 points The idea behind this scoring system is it really encouraged birdies and because of the fact we are playing in tough course conditions the best will definitely win. You can't get a lucky win here Good luck to everyone in the playoffs and most importantly, HAVE FUN!

I already played my game with BWP! No very nice conditions in Australia; Sunny, but winds of 17-19MPH! But Seed 4 vs. Seed 5 promised an interesting game; and it was a good and close game, up to the last hole: After the Front 9, it was 3 Birdies for BWP and 4 Birdies for me; I was leading by 2 points! Noone ever had a lead of more than 2 points, over the entire round! On the Back 9, going into hole 18, we each had another 4 Birdies, but I scored 2 Bogeys as well. This means we were tied going into this Par5. The headwind wasn't very favorable for an approach on the 2nd shot, but we both tried it. BWP went over the green into the rough, but I came up short and landed in the Bunker, with an ugly lie of ~62%. My Pitch-Out was too short, and I saw BWP pitch it close and tap-in for Birdie. I knew I had to make my long Putt. I tried to slam it in, but it missed by maybe an inch, or even less! It was a great game; fun to play and in chat! Congratulations, BWP, and Thanks for the game! (Final scores were 11 - 16, if anyone cares, as I took a Double Bogey on that last hole, not focusing on my Putts after the Birdie-Putt missed)

Luckily it didn't make a difference I also found something we may want to consider about the scoring: I noticed how through 13 holes all the way through 17 our score was tied even though I was 1 stroke less and was bogey free. Maybe we should add a bogey free reward to the scoring? just a little suggestion Now I have to either play Holy, or someone who beats Holy, Great

Your approach on 18: but you hit it over the green, right? Was there fairway behind the green? Glass Hole like Putt: you're sure? I had already holed out, and saw your Putt-Line approaching at Top Speed, braking on the hole and rolling out ~1 foot. Had it been a Glass Hole, I guess it would have rolled a lot further?! And in chat, you 'only' said "Oh, very close"?! Luckily, it didn't matter! ;D

That's why "glass hole" was in quotes and the word "like" after it I know it wasn't a glass hole

I know it wasn't a glass hole Yes BW .. you often mention "slam it in" in many of your posting's .. the price for that _ is the occasional "run over" that we have all seen.
"The Duke" had a good insight for us in Skinnies "TPX post". He mentioned the practice green and how percentages may be the secret to the question of why glass holes are in question some times. We all have blasted over the cup now and then, but some are "on the edge" if they should drop - or not.
Cowboy is not here much - if at all - but perhaps he can detail his thoughts with you at "some other" venue.

I find glass holes occur most when the ball is actually right in the middle of the hole. If it is lightly left or right it always goes in for me.

Royal Melborne - TMan & JTurner Nice sunny skies! TMan defeats JT 24 to 22. What an awesome match....Great fun. Great challenge. Thank you TMan. We both only had one bogey and both only had one eagle. Here is what it looked like from my screen: www.ustream.tv/recorded/15875527Best of luck TMan! Confirmed. What a great match! First off, who is responsible for turning the wind on? I checked offline real quick before I logged into chat. It was 2mph. On our first hole it was up to 7 and on hole 2 is was 11 ;D I got off to a great start. Birdie on 1 with a 21 footer and eagle on 2 with a 28 foot double breaker. Then I had problems on the next several holes with judging distance on approach shots. Short of the green on the 3rd, short of the green on 4 (my only bogey) and short of the green on 5 (nice bunker save for par). I have a 2 point lead at this point and JT makes his only bogey at 9 to give me a 3 point lead at the turn. I made birdie on 11 to up my lead to 5 and this is where the fun began. As anyone who has played a head to head match with me knows, I'm rather slow As a result, JT finished nearly every hole before I hit my final putt. On 12 he's in with birdie and I answer by making a 22 footer. On 13 he hits a thumper for birdie and I follow with a thumper too. We both par 14, although I only missed my 63 foot birdie putt by a foot. On 15 JT is in with birdie while I'm standing over an eagle putt. I hit it too hard and it goes 14 feet past. It's not an easy one but I make it for birdie. On 16 he's in for birdie and I have 13 foot, lightning fast putt that I make to match him. On 17 he's in with birdie and I make a 14 footer to answer so I head to the par 5 18th with a 5 point lead. JT hits a thumper that leads to an eagle. I'm standing over a 31 foot putt knowing that I have to get down in 2. Fortunately it's uphill and my eagle attempt stops 1 foot from the hole. After falling behind by 5, JT was -7 on the final 7 holes. I had to finish the final 7 holes at -6 to hold him off. You certainly played well enough to win. There's any number of medium to long putts I could have missed and we'd still be playing or I'd have lost. Good luck the rest of the way! Here's the video from my angle: www.ustream.tv/recorded/15875525TMan
